From "UV-Fluorescent" to "Verified Hot"
Every specimen we catalog starts at "unverified" — we may have a photo and a weight, but no lab data. Planned measurement equipment is not a substitute for a recorded Geiger/lab result: until readings exist, we use UV-Fluorescent/provisional language.
Every specimen NFT carries this
All 7 fields are updatable onchain. When the Geiger reading comes in, we update CPM/uSv and the status. History is preserved.
What each status means
Green glow under shortwave UV. Does not confirm radioactivity — could be UV-fluorescent only (no emissions above background). Default label for ALL specimens until lab-tested.
Why this label: NEVER use specific mineral names (uraninite, autunite, torbernite) without certified lab spectro data. Honest framing.
UV fluorescence confirmed + Geiger reading on file. CPM and uSv uploaded to NFT. Still not "hot" — just measured.
Lab spectro confirmed. Mineral name disclosed (e.g. uraninite, autunite, torbernite). CPM/uSv on file. Lead-lined case required for storage/shipping.
Only this tier ships in lead-lined cases. Only this tier gets the red-bordered "HOT" warning sticker.
The funding loop
Every Atomic APE mint:
- ETH goes to specimen treasury (Ledger 0x9111)
- Treasury research may fund Geiger and α/β/γ measurement upgrades, shielding/PPE, rare-earth and mineral field missions, and safe specimen handling.
- Geiger goes to the field for the next mission
- Every UV-fluorescent piece gets CPM/uSv measured
- Specimen NFT metadata gets updated onchain
- Status upgrades from "UV-Fluorescent" → "Lab-Confirmed"
APE materials program = measurement upgrades, safe handling, rare-earth/mineral fieldwork, and verified specimen records. The loop continues as evidence is collected.
🐵 Atomic APE Launch →Current state
All 55 specimens currently tagged UV-Fluorescent (Green SW). Geiger counter: NOT YET PURCHASED — waiting for APE launch funding.
First 17 UV-fluorescent pieces (rad 1-17) have no filename gram weights — they need a scale reading before being listed. Once APE ships, these get full lab workup.
